What I Did in August 2007
I can not believe how fast August has gone for me. In just two more days, I have to go back to work. I did a lot this summer between traveling, visiting with friends and family, going to the beach, swimming in my pool and just plain old relaxing--taking in every moment I could. Here are a few things we did this past August...

Tom & I had dinner and Champagne on the beach one night. We watched the sunset, let the warm ocean water run over our feet and I took a lot of photos.
This photo reminds me of the commercials
where they pick up the people and place them in a boat...mountain...etc. This is the lighthouse I used to live in as a teenager.

Then we went canoing another day in August. It was so peaceful and beautiful along the river. We saw a lot of wild life--ducks, cranes, egrets and swans. We also went to camp the third week in August. This is a Lutheran camp called Pinecrest. My husband and I met there when we were teenagers and now we volunteer as staff for the week. Although our kids have been going with us since birth, they are old enough to be campers now (the camp is for high school and college aged youth).
One day the kids set up a huge slip and slide. It looked like a lot of fun, so I tried it too. I laughed so hard--I did not slide as far as the kids did, but I had a good time. Talk about slimy though! This blow up pool was the bumper at the end of the slide, some of the campers would slide right into the pool or under it. After a while, many of them would just hang out in it.
